how to identify mosfet type ( N-chanel, P-Chanel )

There are 4 type of mosfet’s on laptop motherboard

1.N-chanel mosfet
2.P-chanel mosfet
3.Dual N-chanel mosfet
4.Dual P-chanel mosfet

We Can identify P-chanel OR N-chanel mosfet with different marking code.
Easy way to identified look at the ending number of marking code .

For example :

AO4435 look at end of marking code number is odd numbers ( 3 ).

this is P-channel mosfet

 

 

example : AO 4407 (7) is odd number ,this is P-channel too,

they could be substitute each other even different manufacture and code.

Others P-chanel examples : AON7403, AON7423, Si4835DDY, 3423-FDS ETC
Conclusion : Mosfet which have last odd numbers (1,3,5,7,9) they are all P-Channels.

 

Other example : AON6414A

look at last number of marking code it is even (4) numbers it’s mean this is N-channel mosfet and they could replace by other N-channel even different manufacture and code.

 

 

Others N-channel mosfet examples:

AO4800, AON7404, AON7410, AON7528 ETC              

Conclusion : Mosfet which have last Even numbers (0,2,4,6,8) they are all                  N-Channels.
